Our history

BBM was founded in Beijing in 1999 as a translation company. In 2012 we opened our Auckland office. In 2026 we added a client contact point in Brisbane for customers in Australia.

Medical devices have been the main field of our translation work for most of that time. Since 2023 we have also written clinical evaluation reports and literature reviews.

How we check quality

1. Terminology first. Before translation, we extract key terms and agree them with you.
2. Two people per document. A translator and a separate reviewer work on every file.
3. Technical checks. We check numbers, units, references, tables and cross-references against the source.
4. Records. Glossaries, translation memories and delivery records are kept in our project system, in use since 2007, so later projects reuse approved wording.
5. Feedback. Client corrections are added to the glossary and applied to the rest of the dossier.
